Paradise Grapevine Chandelier, 2023

Light on its feet and audacious in profile, the 2023 Chandelier Sauvignon Blanc from Reuther Vineyard in Four Mile Creek may defy expectations. Mineral driven, bright, savoury and complex, the 2023 Chandelier brings notes of lemon merengue pie, white flowers, salt and late-summer grass.

The Sauvignon Blanc was picked on October 4th, 2023 at the Reuther Vineyard in NOL. We de-stemmed the fruit and pressed immediately, settling in stainless steel. After racking the wine, it underwent a free rise fermentation in the cool cellar. Once alcoholic fermentation was completed, the wine was barrelled with the light fluffy lees into neutral French oak where it stayed untouched for 22 months. Naturally fermented with minimal sulphur additions.
